Best Guns In Mass Effect 3

I'm playing Mass Effect and I could never get passed the Citadel without getting bored but this time I'm skipping all the side quests and such and I'm actually making progress I think.Anyways, I'm playing as a solider because this is the easiest and will let me just play through without worrying too much about tactics. What are the best skills/weapons to have?I've heard that I should max out Charm, then Solider, and then Spectre (once it's available). I also think I saw that pistols are the best gun to upgrade all the way (before the other guns). Is this true? What about the other skills? Thanks for any advice!(Also, any other tips for a 'first time' player of Mass Effect is appreciated!).

I recommend maxing either charm or intimidate early-ish. Also, make sure you have both decryption and electronics available in your party and make sure the NPCs are keeping near the top of those skills.Beyond that? I never found it to matter much. Even on hardcore and insanity it wasn't too hard to kill things with the weapons or skills you wanted to use. I am a sucker for the sniper rifle late game once you can give it all the add-ons that trade heat-efficiency for damage and blast radius. Who cares that your gun overheats in one shot when things die horrible deaths in that same hit? Most fights become trivial once you grab master immunity by maxing out fitness. It's an 80% damage decrease which can be up 20 out of every 30 seconds.

If you specialize as commando, it will have damn near constant up-time (2.5 seconds left on the recharge after it wears off). It's sort of game breaking, but good if you want to play the harder difficulties. I played a soldier with the singularity bonus talent for most of it. As for weapons, I think I did mostly shotguns and assault rifles.

Honestly you can do whatever you have the most fun doing since the game isn't really hard enough outside insane mode to screw you over for not optimizing. As a general tip, killing things in the mako has a roughly 50% xp penalty. Canon service tool v5103 crack. Get things down to a sliver of health, get out and finish them off and you'll double the xp. And seconding necklessone's advice on modding late game sniper rifles into one shot cannons. Pick whichever gun you want, they're all fine.

Pick whichever other skills you want too. Fitness (for immunity) is the skill that makes you uber.I like to use assault rifle as a soldier just because by default they're the only class that gets the skill for them, but again, any gun choice is fine, even on the highest difficulty.Get at least one point in 'soldier' early on too, so that your health will regenerate, that way you can save the medigel for in-combat healing. Originally posted by CPX:I preferred auto-regen mods to the armor, personally.but I didn't find many other mods I liked, so.

Medical exoskeletons are definitely the best mods in the game, but you don't get those until you're fairly high level. One point in soldier for 3 hp/sec (plus whatever else it does) seems like a no-brainer for early game, and lets you use damage-reduction armor mods (ablative coating or whatnot) until medical exoskeletons become available.Ultimately at high level if you went shock trooper you can get perma-invulnerability without exoskeletons and probably will switch back to damage reduction mods, too (of course by that point you've necessarily maxed soldier anyway). I'd probably go commando instead, though. Even without the shock trooper spec soldiers are ridiculously durable. Originally posted by vishnu:This is the only answer that matters. Fitness (for immunity) is the skill that makes you uber. This same skill is annoying as fuck when used by enemies. God damned Krogan mercenary with charge and huge melee damage, I shoot him, he goes to 10% health, he activates immunity, I shoot through that too, then he falls down and pops some medi-gel and I have to bring down his health YET AGAIN.Thank goodness for biotic abilities. You're on the right track.

Mass Effect Andromeda

Definitely max out Spectre, because it benefits everything: damage, accuracy, cooldowns, health, regen. And definitely max out either Charm or Intimidate, because then those dialogue options are always available when you want them. Then you can start poring points into Soldier and your chosen weapons, but don't neglect health and armor, since you'll be out front and taking more damage as a soldier.Forget about pistols.

Use your assault rifle! That's one of the perks of playing a soldier, having immediate access to assault rifles. I only put enough points into pistols to unlock shotguns. Assault rifles and shotguns make for an effective combo. Then you just need companions with biotics and tech abilities.

I prefer Liara's full biotics for the awesome singularity, but Wrex is a popular choice too. You don't need full tech, just somebody with first aid and decryption, so Garrus is a good choice, he's handy in a fight.Have fun! For a soldier, if you're the kind that likes to micro-manage your party's abilities, the most powerful combination is going to be liara and tali, for full tech and full biotic abilities. Liara + kaiden is arguably as powerful, trading damping and AI hacking (AI hacking is epic) for a second lift and a second throw.

Tons of biotic abilities lets you almost completely control the battle, but you also have to listen to fucking kaiden talking. If you like to just let the AI handle your allies, that becomes the worst option, instead of the best option, though. For just letting the computer deal with it, I agree that wrex+garrus is a good combo, although I'd still get electronics as well as decryption on garrus. Some stuff is opened by decryption, other stuff by electronics. Plus overload is pretty nice. Originally posted by vishnu:This is the only answer that matters. It's not hard, but fights take for friggin ever.
